Persian culture, is rich with different bahavioural puzzles. Livinging in Canada has made me free from those puzzles and gave the chance to practice kindness, thoughtfullness, respect from my culture. I learned to be direct in Canada to avoid misunderstandings. I learned that miscommunication due to different preceptions of things due to individual history, culture and language is common. So I learned to be as careful as possible when I speak, to make sure my listener knows exactly what I am talking about. That has made me free of twisting people's words for myself, thinking that they might have different meanings. I always try to take people as they are, and not to take what they are saying about certain things that are part of my life, personal. It took me 8 years now, since I have been in this multiculture country, that I have been practicing and learning and keep on learning, on how to make my life and people around me less complicated with misunderstandings. This is no easy task, again for me to learn more, I had to keep quite and listen, truely listen to what is spoken. Think. and then act on it. There were times, that I was speaking with haste when I was a teenager. But I am glad that I am growing up and my experiences are making me a better person every day.
